Good to know

Common questions.

What information should I send for a quote?

A few clear photos, the suburb, property type and a short description are the best start. Measurements can also help. We’ll let you know if a site visit is needed.

Do you work with strata and property managers?

Yes. HandMate handles common-area repairs, grouped unit maintenance, defect lists, gates, doors and other suitable handyman work with clear written updates.

Can you change door locks and handles?

Yes, for standard door locks, handles, latches, hinges and door-hardware replacements that fall within handyman scope. Locksmith or access-control work is referred when specialist licensing or equipment is required.

Do you repair or replace roof sheets?

Yes, HandMate can assess minor roof-sheet repairs and like-for-like replacements on suitable, safely accessible structures. Work involving structural changes, specialist roof systems or another licensed trade will be identified before quoting.

Do you do electrical or plumbing work?

Only work that legally falls within general handyman scope. Licensed electrical, plumbing and other regulated work is identified and left to the appropriate trade.

Which areas do you service?

HandMate is based around Fremantle and generally works across Fremantle, surrounding coastal suburbs and Perth’s inner south. Send your suburb with the job details and we’ll confirm availability.
